The Cutting Applications Technologist will have the following job responsibilities:
To report directly to the Production Manager and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to Cutting Applications.
Drive innovation and provide ideas for continuous improvement and implementation of product.
Duties will include testing and process development, cutting samples for sales, providing online and onsite demos (travel permitting).
Cutting and documenting all procedure development for customer parts, trouble shooting and repair of supported systems.
To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending, and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
To fully abide and actively support the company Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices, and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees.
To participate co-operatively as an employee within the company Performance Appraisal Process and Merit Rating System.
To actively participate in company, staff, or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication, and progressive co-operation strategies within the department as well as other departments across the company.
To conduct any general duties, specific projects, and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Production Manager in a timely and professional manner.
The Cutting Applications Technologist must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent experience.
Must be able to travel throughout Canada, the USA and internationally as required by the Company.
3-5 years minimum in similar or related role.
Previous robotic experience and training is an asset.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must have working knowledge of Solidworks.
Must have Basic Excel knowledge for organizing and presenting test data.
Must be able to work both independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
Must be accurate and detailed/deadline oriented.
French language skills a definite asset.
