Adecco is currently hiring a temporary Cylinder Handler to work full-time hours for our client located in Hamilton, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the loading, preparation and shipping of cylinders as required.  

  • Location: Hamilton, ON
  • Pay Rate: $20/hour
  • Availability Required: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Job type: Temporary

    • Responsibilities:

  • Load / unload trucks confirming cylinder quantities, styles, and product mix.
  • Put away stock, count cylinder loads and warehouse housekeeping.
  • Move dry ice bins.
  • Complete and maintain quality control documentation per company and governmental requirements.
  • Meet established standards for productivity and quality.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager and approved by Adecco.

    • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Must have High-school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of related experience within a plant or distribution environment
  • Safety conscious and commitment
  • Must be dependable and accountable (attendance and punctuality)
  • Able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
  • Knowledge of gas cylinders
  • A team player who can work within tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with basic technology
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong teamwork, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling heavy objects
  • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time
