Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Damage Prevention Technician, to work an 18-month contract, at a well-established integrated oil and natural gas company, in Lloydminster, AB. The role is responsible for ensuring all HMGP assets are identified and protected against mechanical damage during ground disturbance and that all HMGP assets are properly identified.
Location: Lloydminster, AB
Shifts: Monday – Friday; 40 hours /week

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain compliance with HMGP In-Vehicle Monitoring System requirements
Communicate HMGP pipeline protection standards and practices to HMGP employees and third parties
Respond to One Call Notifications
Provide site inspection of activities occurring on or near HMGP ROW’s to ensure compliance with, and provide enforcement of HMGP’s ROW excavation conditions
Identify pipeline locations using GI, GPS and line-locating equipment
Inspect ROW to ensure compliance with HMGP signage requirements
Provide reviews to the company’s’ third-party crossing groups
Analyze, interpret, and utilize graphic and other information contained in drawings or generated by GIS technology
Conduct quality verifications on locators to ensure compliance and quality are maintained
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is a must
Technical diploma in a related field or Journeyman trade certification is preferred
0-7 years’ experience in pipeline operations is a must
Class 5 driver’s license
Ground Disturbance 201 Certification (Ground Disturbance for Supervisors)
Knowledge of Saskatchewan and Alberta One Call Processes
Capable of auditing ground disturbance packages and 3rd party agreements
Line Locating Training is required
Knowledge of Microsoft excel, work, outlook, etc.
Experience working with SAP
Demonstrated decision-making ability and the ability to achieve results using
influence, while responding to first calls
Organized and self-motivated with good communication skills
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
