Our client, one of BC’S largest and top employers, is currently hiring for a full-time Data Analyst. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years of Data Analyst experience or equivalent. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience within a prestigious firm. This position pays $25/hr.

Work Assignment Overview

Includes validating data to confirm KPI results, support baseline development, develop Tableau Dashboards to support tracking & reporting, create job aids to support ongoing reporting requirements

Work Assignment Requirements:

Includes working with Civil Underground Construction Category Lead and Contract Manager to: validate data to confirm and finalize Key Performance Indicator results, support baseline identification and implement processes to sustain that process, develop Tableau Dashboards to support tracking & reporting, create job aids to support ongoing reporting requirements, which may include training the trainer and/or user guides in the format of one or more of: presentations, guidelines, examples, etc..as directed by the team

General Description

• The Data Analyst translates data into meaningful information, enabling effective planning and decision-making in support of business solutions.

Experience and Role Accountabilities

• A minimum three (3) years of directly related work experience or equivalent.

• Analyze large sets of data by applying qualitative or quantitative techniques using advanced skills in MS Excel or a data analysis software, to support strategic decision-making.

• Maintain clean data by verifying, validating, and filtering data if needed, to meet data quality requirements.

• Optimize the reporting process by developing, implementing, and maintaining database systems that effectively manage information.

• Provide relevant reports to acquiring manager by researching, developing, and presenting findings and possible options to support management in delivering results within scope, time and budget.

Education and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline

• Advanced MS Office skills (Word and Excel)

• Working knowledge of data analysis programs, an asset

• Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Additional skills required:

• Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel, SAP Reporting, Tableau

• Good to have experience with BCH systems (e.g. Passport and COGNOS)
