The Delivery Assurance Coordinator (DAC) is responsible for ensuring on time delivery of material and mitigating risks for short term shortages with internal & external suppliers to ensure successful on time customer delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify gaps preventing the execution of the production plan and work to resolve shortage issues.
• Escalate issue as required in support of 100% OTD. (QN’s, shortages)
• Coordinate Delivery Assurance activities around meeting the MPS in SAP and 100% OTD.
• Track and maintain shortage reports daily.
• Develop and publish detailed recovery plans for late parts
• Conduct daily Delivery Clinic to ensure plan alignment
• Work with Daily Production Scheduling to establish production and shipping schedule.
• Clear hand off of critical issues across shifts.
• Serve as interface for Daily Production Scheduling and the machine shop for in house parts and delivery.
• Ensure intercompany sites are providing delivery updates as required and arrange meetings/teleconferences to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Coordinate delivery priority and / or carrier choice with supplier.
• Metrics development and publication (eg. expedite tracking, shortage trends, turnbacks)
• Actively engaged in ACE operating principles, lean initiatives, and Quality.
• Participate in process improvement teams, by attending meetings and supporting team initiatives.
• Complete and follow daily, weekly and monthly checklists/tasks where applicable.
• Training of other team members as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications :
• University Degree in Materials Management or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Successful completion of/pursuing APICS designation is an asset
• At least 1-3 years of experience in material planning and/or inventory control in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications
• Previous ERP experience (i.e. JD Edwards or SAP) would be considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be willing to work the day shift
