Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Adecco Group is currently hiring for a Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to join our Canadian team. This role is responsible for leading the execution of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE+I) strategy on behalf of all of the Canadian business units including Adecco, Modis and LHH.

In this role, the incumbent will launch and facilitate Canadian initiatives in line with the strategy, pairing business acumen, perspective, integrity and trust to ensure all voices are heard within the organization in pursuit of a diverse and inclusive workplace. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in the space of inclusion, equity and belonging, as well as a facilitator and presenter, comfortable with speaking to various stakeholders from clients to colleagues and external agencies.


This position is remote, and the desired candidate can be located anywhere within Canada.

Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Job Responsibilities:


Champions the implementation of new or revised practices, policies or procedures in line with our global strategy.


Monitors progress and adjusts course over time based on data-driven findings on an ongoing basis.


Creates and works to enhance colleague D+I accountability through collaboration and enhancing people practices (i.e. hiring, onboarding, performance management).


Prepares and conducts client and colleague D+I presentations, focus groups and facilitated sessions.


Identifies and engages in partnerships with external agencies that support and enhance the Canadian DE+I strategy.


Understands and anticipates the various business needs across The Adecco Group, develops clear scopes of work and project plans, and leads cross-functional teams in executing priorities.


Works with the North American DE+I team to align strategic priorities to our global agenda.


Leverages data from our Peakon DE+I engagement survey to support and drive local initiatives and decision making.



Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Qualifications:


Completion of post-secondary education in a related field such as human resources or business management or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.


A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated professional experience leading and advancing diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives.


Expert with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.


Broad knowledge of diversity, culture and related strategy. Demonstrates passion and professional and personal commitment to understanding The Adecco Group principles on diversity and inclusion.


Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and interface with all levels within and outside the organization.


Skilled in advocating for initiatives and adoption of best practices; with ability to respectfully challenge and influence behaviour change.


Exceptional business acumen and project management skills with ability to think big picture. Ability to articulate and influence and invest others in the big picture.
