Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Director of Sales in Toronto, ON to work for our client, a leading company that majors in the training and consulting industry. In this role, you will be reporting to the VP of Operations and you will be responsible for generating and converting new sales leads across all service offerings in Canada and growing the company’s lead position as a Lean consulting and training provider in the Canadian local government sector. If you have a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in sales, specifically in business services & consulting sales, this job is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an outbound sales lead generation strategy and plan for the consultancy and training services.
  • Attend regular project team meetings to provide regular status updates on key sales performance metrics activities.
  • Support Canadian market penetration and growth in key sectors as identified by the senior management team.
  • Develop and execute a strategy and plan for increased inbound lead generation and conversion.
  • Upsell programs and services to existing customers, and plan approaches and pitches.
  • Maintain and update customer relationship management system on a daily basis.
  • Develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives.
  • Generate, follow up and close new sales leads for companies services.
  • Develop and deliver relevant sales presentations where required.
  • Respond to relevant requests for proposals/quotations/tenders.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-10 years sales experience in a similar role, specifically in business services/consulting sales
  • Experience in Outbound sales lead generation and management, as well as using CRM systems
  • Proven ability to develop successful sales presentations and business proposals
  • Demonstrated experience in effective sales and business development execution
  • Proven track record in successful lead qualification and conversion to sales
  • Significant experience responding to RFP/RFQ tenders
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated to produce results within tight timeframes
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
  • Proven relationship building skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
