Adecco is currently hiring for a Disability Administrator to service one of the largest insurance and financial service companies globally. To be considered for the Disability Administrator role, you must have familiarity with medical terminology and previous administrative experience in a related function. The Disability Administrator is being hired for a 4-month contract, paying $18.45/hour, and will be based in Kitchener, Ontario.

Disability Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming Short-Term Disability claim applications against an established set of criteria
  • Perform data entry on Non-Complex Short-Term Disability claims
  • Identify and follow up for outstanding information from members
  • Initiate and maintain frequent email and telephone contact with plan members, plan sponsors, and health care providers
  • Apply contractual provisions to set up all Short-Term Disability claims using web-based software
  • Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with internal partners to achieve and maintain client service deliverables
  • Prioritize and re-prioritize constantly conflicting demands with very tight turnaround times
  • Disability Administrator Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative experience in a similar function
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Intermediate PC skills with MS Word, MS Excel
  • Strong written (emails, formal letters) and telephone communication skills
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy and timeliness
  • Impeccable time management and organization, prioritization and planning abilities
  • Demonstrated strength in attention to detail, particularly with numbers, spelling, and grammar
  • Strong ability to manage professional relationships with external and internal partners
  • Flexible and able to cope with high workload volumes and conflicting deadlines
