Adecco is currently hiring temporary, full-time Kitchen handlers/ Dishwashers, in Vancouver, BC. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the impeccable cleanliness of the entire kitchen and catering area. Additionally, you will provide valuable assistance to chefs and cooks in receiving and storing deliveries. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve efficiently washing a high volume of dishes, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans, ensuring they are stored in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.

Responsibilities:
Maintain pristine cleanliness throughout the kitchen and catering area.
Provide assistance to chefs and cooks in receiving and storing deliveries.
Thoroughly wash and store a substantial volume of dishes, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans in a clean, safe, and orderly manner, ensuring a tidy dish pit.
Handle kitchen laundry, including washing, drying, and folding.
Keep floors impeccably clean through regular sweeping, brushing, and mopping, particularly at the end of each shift.
Collect and dispose of all garbage, compost, and recycling bins into dumpsters.
Complete assigned daily cleaning projects.
Participate in the setup and teardown of the kitchen.
Requirements:
Specific dishwashing experience is not mandatory, but a willingness to perform all required tasks promptly is essential
At least 6months previous experience working in a professional kitchen
Physically able, highly motivated, willing to be trained. This position is physically demanding. Lifting 40-pound (5-gallon) water jugs, as well as heavy vegetable boxes, are part of the deity routine
Possession of food safety certificates is advantageous.
Great organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Full availability to work 5 days a week, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights throughout the entire duration of the show in Vancouver.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
