Adecco is currently hiring for several Distribution Associates in Ottawa, ON to work for our client, a medical device manufacturer who is dedicated to advancing diagnostic technology to improve patient care. If you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and you have strong attention to detail, this job is for you!

*This role requires Canadian Education or Degree or WES Certification.

  • Location: Ottawa, ON
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
  • Job type: 12 month contract

    • Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is packing, and shipping finished goods to various North American and International Destinations
  • Affixing additional labels on the product boxes for specific countries
  • Completing commercial invoices, packing slips, bills of lading and check sheets
  • Load product to trucks 2-3 times a week
  • Complete export documents related to each shipment
  • Responsible for preparing all finished goods shipments and miscellaneous shipments for export to various destinations according to established procedures.
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments have proper customs, commercial invoices, FDA and any other paperwork required to prevent shipping delays.
  • Works under minimal supervision and should have the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Miscellaneous other duties as required.

    • Qualifications:

  • Canadian High School Diploma / Degree or WES certified postsecondary is required
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to pass a dexterity test and a vision test
  • General labour experience is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, target oriented environment
  •  Ability to maintain good quality while working with urgency
  • Ability to effectively adapt to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Be comfortable with full gowning/clean room
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
