Document Controller

Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Document Controller in Calgary, AB to work a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension to 1 year. In this role, you will be responsible for providing recommendations of improvements on control systems & business processes, as well as distributing documentation / data packages to relevant parties.   • Pay rate: $34 - $38/hour 
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

  • Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring quality, accuracy, and completeness of documentation deliverables.
  • Distributing and collecting incoming/outgoing documentation and data packages to relevant parties internal and external to Client
  • Adhering to Project Document Control Procedures, QA Procedures, and Standards.
  • Providing recommendations of improvements to document control systems and business processes.
  • Developing and communicating progress status reports for Project and Asset Management Teams.
  • Responding to and tracking of internal and/or external documentation requests.
  • Coordinating documentation between internal and external entities, as well as administering the return data process.
  • Ensuring timely transfer of electronic files/hard copy documentation to/from clients and contractors/sub-contractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Records Management courses would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 year's related experience in a document management office environment, including experience with computerized Document Management Systems, Computerized Drafting systems.
  • Minimum of 3 year's experience working with and adhering to document control policies, procedures and standards.
  • Intermediate ability in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint, Sharepoint and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Experience supporting the execution of capital projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative problem solver able to identify, analyze, and communicate potential delays and issues and options for their resolution.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering terminology and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven track record of good attendance and job performance
