Adecco is currently hiring for an Electrical Engineer with our HVAC client in Ottawa South. This is a Full Time, Permanent opportunity offering Monday to Friday day time hours. Compensation to be determined based on experience, typical starting salary is $65K. 

Electrical Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
-    Development of electrical, electronic, and hydraulic concepts for new equipment development projects
-    Create P&ID diagrams using Visio software
-    Carry out calculations and simulations to determine the requirements of electrical/electronic control components
-    Evaluate and select standard commercial parts in the electrical/electromechanical/electronic field
-    Create software specifications to be used by external programmers to generate control software
-    Create software for PLC controls and for embedded microcomputer systems in C programming language
-    Create hardware specifications to be used by external hardware designers in designing printed circuit boards
-    Review externally developed hardware and software against required functionality
-    Perform and assist with lab testing
-    Create bills of material for electrical and electronic assemblies
-    Support creation of installation, operation, and spare parts manuals by providing descriptions of operation and illustrations as required
-    Support manufacturing department in creation of tools for manufacturing
-    Support purchasing and material planning departments with advice and clarification of technical issues
-    Support the technical support department in troubleshooting and finding solutions to customer problems
-    Implementing changes in CIP (Continuous Improvement Process)
-    Participate in project team, project meetings, and support successful completion of development projects
-    Maintain contacts with external testing and licensing agencies
-    Advise all relevant contacts regarding questions about EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) and external testing agencies
-    Support the quality assurance department with technical issues
-    Represent the electrical design requirements of products
-    Take responsibility for quality assurance tasks in their area of responsibility
-    Collaboration with development departments in other locations
-    Adhere to requirements of company quality management system
-    Independent management of smaller projects
Electrical Engineer Qualifications:
-    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical design of electromechanical equipment
-    Excellent written and verbal skills in English; ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports/logs and effectively present information
-    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
-    Knowledge of programming in C or C++. MS Office literate: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or other business management software is an asset. 
-    Professional Engineering Designation preferred
-    Must demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
-    Experience in application certification (National Code, UL, EMC)
