Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Electrical Engineering Manager to work directly for our client located in Bowmanville, ON. The ideal candidate should have experience with electrical systems, a desire for building quality products and a background in management/supervision of a control panel building shop.

Do you have a passion for Fabrications and assembling industrial control panels, to expand our clients growing manufacturing facility? You should be experienced with reviewing panel design documentation and schematics, building panels, and constructing small electrical assemblies. 

You will create and operate a new panel building department, including acquiring and maintaining CSA/UL certification for our clients manufacturing facility. You will collaborate with a highly skilled team of mechanical and electrical engineers and technologists, operations and production teams as well as customer service/sales departments and will work closely with other production managers and personnel to deliver CSA/UL certified control panels and other electrical assemblies in a timely manner.  You will develop effective and efficient panel shop procedures and processes.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the complete management of the panel manufacturing workshop, day to day panel production operations and oversight of the panel building team.
  • Responsible for all aspects of control panel assembly
  • Coordinate, train and guide the team to maximize shop floor productivity.
  • Manage inventory of panel parts
  • Manage and monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, safety, and performance standards.
  • Maintain the facility's CSA/UL certification and relationships.
  • Recommend measures to improve plant operations.
  • Utilize Excel and ERP to track schedules, delivery dates and inventories.
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Journeyman, diploma, degree in the electrical field
  • Electrician (442A or 309A) with panel shop experience
  • Degree in Engineering with panel shop experience
  • Diploma Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology/Technician with panel shop experience
  • Expertise with SCA/UL certification standards related to electrical controls industry
  • Familiar with NEC/CEC regulations related to the electrical controls industry
  • Experience manager a UL/CSA certified panel shop.
  • Experience in Acquiring and maintaining UL/CSA certification 
  • Technical knowledge of control panel design, fabrication, and CSA/UL listing requirements
  • Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills with voltages 600VAC or lower
  • Manufacturing and electrical knowledge to build, test, lead and train a team of people to produce control panel assemblies.
  • Proficient with Auto Cad
  • Working knowledge of SAP/ERP software.
