Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Electronic Technician in Markham, ON. Our clients’ Product Development teams provide solutions to their customers through the design and development of AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. In this role, you will Assemble, upgrade, and/or repair product assemblies. This role requires 1-3 years of relevant experience, possess electronics manufacturing certification to IPC standards - particularly IPC 610, IPC 7711, IPC 7721 and knowledge of digital and analog electronics and repair methodologies.   • Pay rate: up to $21.00 /hour (based on experience)
  • Location: Markham, ON
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 2months with possible extension or conversion for full time hire

  • Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, upgrade, and/or repair product assemblies.
  • Inspects for physical and visual quality requirements
  • Utilize machine shop equipment and other site resources to rapidly fabricate models and
    prototypes of rework materials to prove designs concepts including:
    o core gapping
    o Chemical handling procedure – follow MSDS
    o Assembly fixture verification
    o DFM feedback – assembly issues
    o Build/modify heat-sink and other mechanical parts to support prototype assemblies
  • Work under minimum supervision
  • Evaluate and prioritize a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion, while
    working with frequent and ongoing interruptions.
  • Effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers
  • Ability to maintain detailed, accurate and organized records
  • Track quantity of units flowing through Proto
  • Label and identify all assemblies in Proto area
  • Ensure all products have a traveler tag to identify the process step of the product/unit.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of all work being delivered to internal and external customers.
  • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Secondary school diploma and additional courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Possess electronics manufacturing certification to IPC standards - particularly IPC 610, IPC 7711, IPC 7721
  • Knowledge of digital and analog electronics and repair methodologies
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: MS Office
  • In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems
