Adecco is currently searching for an Electronic Test Technician for our very unique client in Burlington, ON. The role will involve development, testing, documentation, and some assembly of components on new technology for mobile equipment for the global market. Our client offers full benefits, a flexible schedule, some travel, and a work atmosphere in a small but very bright and professional team.
Location: Burlington, ON
Work from Burlington office, and Home / Remote: Hybrid – some work maybe completed from home, but also “lab” office work .
Job type: Full-time | Permanent + full benefits + discretionary bonus
Open to both experienced and recent college graduates as part of the fit
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hardware and software testing and documentation
Assembly of test (and production rework) products - both physical units, and electronic testing
Installation of systems for testing
Field test management
Some customer contact for technical support and troubleshooting guidance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Engineering education - Technician, Technologist, or Degree (likely in Electronics / Communications, best fit)
1-3 or 10 years professional electronic system and equipment testing experience
C++ and Python experience is a good starting point
A passion and skill for problem-solving, and being hands on with equipment
Strong communication skills, will have some work at customer sites
Must be legally able to travel to the US and abroad - 10% travel in job
A self-starting orientation and the ability to work independently.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and adaptable to changing priorities.
A positive attitude which doesn’t rely on a job description to determine areas of work.
A working knowledge of vehicle electronics, multiplexing and J1939 Can networking experience and education in these areas is an asset; however, training is provided.
Experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products and camera systems would be an asset
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
