Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Electronics Test Technician for our client, a leading company in the general freight trucking industry located in London, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for testing new and used product, as well as troubleshooting and repairing new product and used product.   • Pay rate: $20/hour
  • Location: London, ON  
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Testing and repairing of speedometers, event recorders, etc
  • Utilizing computer application software for the purpose of tests related to real-time acquisition data based on serial communication such as RS-232C, Ethernet, and USB port
  • Providing final acceptance and test after environmental test of new or used products as required
  • Calibrating and testing the electronic circuit boards, based on embedded control system
  • Installing the electronic components on the printed circuits board as recommended IPC-610
  • Troubleshooting new products to determine root cause and provide effective repairs and adjustments to products
  • Assisting production with assembly, testing and other production functions as scheduled to meet project delivery dates
  • Performing all required testing for relevant products as per test Instructions
  • Ensuring awareness of and compliance to all applicable employment, environmental, health and safety legislation
  • Ensuring required test records are maintained and properly completed including high voltage insulation test
  • Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics field
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Must have soldering, mechanical, and fine motor skills are a must
  • Ability to use various test equipment, including oscilloscope & multi-meter
  • Must demonstrate excellence in soldering related to through hole and surface mount devices
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting of electronic circuits and mechanical assemblies
  • Must have extensive knowledge of electronic and Windows operating systems, detail-oriented inspection skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
