Adecco is hiring a full-time temporary Engineer Technologist (entry level) for one of the world's leading retail and brand manufacturers located in Scarborough, ON.
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Location: Progress Ave & Kennedy Rd, Scarborough ON.
Morning Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm AND Friday: 7:30 am to 2:00 pm

Engineering Technologists Job Responsibilities:
Consulting with Chapter and BU team members to establish and evaluate assignment requests and deliverables at initial briefing.
Working directly with the Project Team at collaborative huddles to establish ways in which to innovate by considering Design for Sustainability, Design for Value, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Retail principles.
Reviewing development solutions with the client and collaborating towards next step solutions.
Transforming design intent drawings into manufacturing solutions that exemplify the expectations of the customer.
Developing and detailing 3D models of the product solution in SolidWorks.
Creating technical drawings for use in Prototyping and Production
Evaluating and adjusting development files to improve DFM during the prototype phase
Working with vendors to understand process capabilities, doing stack up analysis and creating appropriate tolerance on detail drawings.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Other duties assigned by department management
Engineering Technologists Qualifications:
College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Technology or Design (or similar field) with at least 2-3 years POP/Retail Design (or related) experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Candidates must have functional (academic/non-academic) experience in creating 3D Models using Solidworks Software
Must be able to create parts and assemblies in SW
Must be able to create assemblies using part files
Must be able to create, modify, remove and/or add features to part files and assembly files
Must be familiar with BOM process, PDF drawing packages and manufacturing tolerances
Understanding of CAM works would be asset
Knowledge and understanding of PDFM would be asset
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
