Adecco is currently hiring several temporary full-time Equipment Technician to work for our client Sanmina in Ottawa, ON. Sanmina is a technology leader of complex and innovative optical, electrical and mechanical products. In this role you will be responsible for performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers. Responsibilities:
Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision.
Applies extensive practical knowledge of technical principles and practices for complex installation and maintenance tasks in support of the manufacturing of client products, in a frequently highly time-sensitive environment.
Repairs and maintains electro-mechanical PCB manufacturing equipment.
Supports installation and maintenance of new or more complex manufacturing equipment.
Tests and calibrates equipment.
Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctioning manufacturing equipment.
Assists with semi-routine analyses and documentation updates, relating to materials management, manufacturing, or test processes. Draws conclusions – suggests sources of failure, alternate diagnostic techniques, and/or problem fixes.
Supports preventative maintenance according to detailed specifications and schedules.
Assists in the building of prototypes.
Assists with equipment moves.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Requires a 2-year technical college diploma.
Requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience
