Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Expeditor to work at a world-leader designer and manufacturer of all types of aircraft landing gear, wheels, and brakes. In, this role you will be coordinating and expediting flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments by performing the following duties.   • Pay rate: $25 - $30/hour
  • Location: Ajax, ON
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM-4 PM
  • Job type: Full-time| 6-month Contract | Possibility to be hired

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material
  • Requisitions material and confirms sequential delivery dates to department, according to job order priorities and material availability
  • Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications
  • Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules
  • Computes amount of material required to complete job orders
  • Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials
  • Moves or transports materials from one department to another
  • Monitors and controls movement of material and parts
  • Promotes cooperation and communication with employees in other departments
  • Keeps production parts organized and labeled in the work area
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma /GED or equivalent is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have 1 year of experience in production planning, coordination or scheduling
  • Able to learn basic skills to perform routine tasks
  • Capable of working with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have access to transportation. Location is not transit accessible
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
