The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing, with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center.
Pay rate: $30.00/hour
Start date: Immediate
Location: 6100 Freemont Blvd, Mississauga (Transit Accessible)
Shift: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm, weekends required as needed.

Facilities Technician Responsibilities:
Assists other Technicians and/or Mechanics in the repair and maintenance of equipment Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
Responsible for performing, independently or with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center.
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to safety and quality procedures.
Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues.
Troubleshoots and repairs key components for the Fulfillment Center
Participates in cleaning the conveyor systems and maintenance area as appropriate
Completes work orders, other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
Working at heights of 40ft or more required
Assist with maintaining inventory of company supplied tools
Must be willing and able to be certified on powered equipment
Performs general facility maintenance such as light bulb replacement, office furniture relocation, plumbing, electrical repairs, etc.
Other duties as instructed by supervision/management.
Warehouse Worker Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will also consider experience and/or military service.
3-5 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, technical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation is required.
Strong electrical background, knowledge of low voltage controls and PLC. Required prior experience and/or working knowledge of:
Conveyor and/or sortation
Strong mechanical troubleshooting Solid electrical troubleshooting Solid controls troubleshooting
Preventative/predictive maintenance Modification and upgrade support Installation
Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issues
Excellent hand and eye coordination skills
Ability to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in English
Command of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory
Command of safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out)
Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time
Safely utilize manual and electronic operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands:
Must possess visual acuity to read fine print as needed.
Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions.
Must possess capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb stairs.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products.
