Facility Manager - Real Estate

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Facility Manager – Real Estate for a 12 Month contract with our Crown Corporation client in the GTA, ON. The successful candidate must have Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for it.

The Facility Manager – Real Estate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring that the client building assets are operated and maintained in the most effective manner so as to sustain serviceability and maintain or enhance value.
  • Provide expert technical advice and analysis to client groups on all aspects of facilities management activities, with respect to the building capital, operations and maintenance budgets.
  • Experience in the maintenance, repair and operation of industrial facilities infrastructure.
  • Ensure the provision of facilities management services within the region, in accordance with client requirements and with corporate plans, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • These services are provided in a mixed setting of in-house and outsourced environments, and include facilities management, asset management, space optimization, and the identification and coordination of facility maintenance and capital projects.
  • The Facility Manager – Real Estate must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Completed post-secondary education in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management or Business Administration, OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the maintenance, repair and operation of industrial facilities infrastructure.
  • 2 or more years' experience with AODA.
  • 2 or more years' experience managing people.
  • One or more years of experience in a unionized environment (asset).
  • Proficient computer skills, including competency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience in the management and maintenance of industrial facilities.
  • Industry certifications, e.g. Certified Facility Manager (CFM), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) or Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) (asset).
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents.
  • Working knowledge of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of leases, contracts and related documents.
  • Excellent team-building and leadership skills and experience.
  • Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decision-making skills, with proven abilities in problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal Skills
