Adecco is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our reputable client, a member of the Assembly of First Nations, as a permanent, full-time Family and Health Services Manager in Gold River, BC.

In this pivotal role, you will assume responsibility for overseeing the comprehensive delivery of family and health services within a clinical setting of a First Nation community. As a manager, you will provide leadership and guidance to a dedicated team, offering valuable support, direction, and effective performance management. 

  • Pay rate: up to $120,000 / year

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

  • Relocation assistance is partially provided, if not presently a resident of Gold River, BC.

  • First three months of accommodation are provided

Duties and Responsibilities:        

·       Carry out administrative and reporting functions in a timely manner including reports to Administration and the Tribal Council.

·       Ensure all clients are informed of their rights and responsibilities

·       Provide leadership and oversee a number of staff including Youth Coordinators and Advocates.

·       Ensure each confidential file for applicants and clients is organized and up to date,

·       Provide referrals to clients when required

·       Ensure collaborative working relationships with other departments for additional service to clients.

·       Collaborate with legal counsel and attend court hearings as required

·       Maintain an up-to-date filing and case management system.

·       Develop and maintain a good working relationship with our client's staff and representatives of other agencies and organizations.

·       Maintain professional growth and development by participating in approved conferences and training opportunities when relevant to job duties.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

·       Post-secondary education in business administration or social work, or equivalent work experience, training, or related activities involving coordination and senior administrative responsibilities in a First Nation community.

·       Minimum of five years of experience working with First Nations and/or a combination of education and experience in program facilitation.

·       Experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.

·       Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office (Word and Excel).

·       Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

·       Exceptional organizational skills with an effective filing system.

·       Ability to establish rapport with individuals from diverse educational and occupational backgrounds.

·       Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

·       Aptitude to handle complex, high-pressure, and emergency situations with tact and sensitivity.

·       Knowledge of sound project management principles.

·       Capability to analyze and assess complex programs, policies, and operational needs and make appropriate adjustments for effective service delivery.

·       Ability to identify and address sensitive community and organizational issues, concerns, and needs.

·       Valid driver's license is required.

·       An RCMP clearance not older than one year is mandatory.

·       Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
