This is a full time, stable and long-term 1-year employment contract. As full-time employees, you can expect up to 40 regular working hours a week.

Finance Administrator has substantial latitude in determining the best methods and procedures to follow to complete assignments. Tasks are broad and complex where considerable independent judgment and discretion are required. Strong initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department's/division’s goals. Possesses a broad knowledge of operations and policies. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work and/or provide project or task leadership. Communicates to ensure ideas are understood and accepts the perspective of others.

Mon-Fri: 09:00am - 05:00pm || $25 / hour
Length of Contract 1 Year
Six plus years in a relevant position
Community college diploma, or consideration of equivalent combination of education and experience
Clear criminal background

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Administers and supports processes as required possibly data entry and accounting transactions.
  • The incumbent ensures that information is processed, approved and issues are resolved on time.
  • Trains and educates users on the process and the importance of timely and accurate administration.
  • Escalates appropriately and suggests improvements.
  • Acts independently to gain consensus amongst cross-functional teams on process improvement recommendations.
  • Prepares and reviews reports

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Basic understanding of forecasting and planning.
  • Ability to calculate and do the basic interpretation of all key business metrics.
  • Ability to design/create queries and understands what creates the output.
  • Generates reports with job-related software. Provide interpretation of reports/results to users.
  • Understanding of the capabilities of the tools, can identify problems and troubleshoot input errors.
  • Understands inter-relationships between departments.

Physical Demands:
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.)
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
