Adecco is looking for a Finance Lead for one of our clients located in Orangeville, ON. This is a permanent position and the successful candidate can expect long term, full time employment with a growing and thriving company.

Finance Leads Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card and financial statements and produce journal entries and adjustments Regularly review general ledger to ensure accurate representation of the financial position
On-time preparation and submission of annual/ monthly government filings (annual return, source deductions, HST/ GST/ QST, WSIB, etc.)
Develop and analyze adhoc reports for management as and when required (Sales reports, reports for chocolate production for projection, etc.)
Inventory; Monitor and assess inventory and reorder as required minding overseas delivery times etc.; Inventory projections; Daily sync of inventory with our online platform and monitor status; Monthly physical inventory adjustments in QB; etc.
Cash Flow; Monitor and manage cash flow: planning for large purchases and projects; Monitor US/CAD foreign exchange rates and purchase US funds as required; review/monitor AR/AP.
Purchasing: Review monthly inventory and reorder as necessary; Issue Purchase Orders and correspond with vendors; Ensure vendors are paid on time via wire transfers; Monitor order status.
Occasional Projects; Update pricelist as require; Assist President in analysis of market prices and adjust accordingly.
Online Sales; Posting online sales to QB; update prices in our online store as required (for sales and other changes).
Trade Show Reconciliations: invoicing inventory from shows, cash counting, recording tradeshow payments, tracking and invoicing tradeshow workers for personal purchases, comparing inventory and revenue from show and adjusting sales receipts as necessary
Create/update forms as needed (client credit card authorization forms, new customer application forms, etc.) Work with President to create budgets and planning
Keeping very organized files, backup notes to calculations, and filing in a neat, organized and timely manner. Identify opportunities to improve department processes, productivity and system efficiencies.
Ensure integrity in processing of financial transactions and monitor / define appropriate internal controls. Remain up-to-date on new accounting procedures and their effect on financial statements.
Complete other accounting related duties as required

Finance Leads Qualifications:

Must be highly accurate and willing to take responsibility for various accounting issues
Proficiency in Quickbooks Enterprise & Microsoft Office Applications
A proven innate ability to focus
Experience in Accounts Receivables and Payables
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening,) fluency in written and spoken English
Strong organizational skills required Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong work ethic, diligent, committed and able to juggle priorities in a fast paced environment and produce work that demonstrates attention to detail
Proven ability to work independently or part of a team
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operations
Knowledge of Employment Standards Act an asset Prior experience in working with a public accounting firm would be considered a strong asset.
