In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial information, conducting quantitative analyses of factors affecting investment programs, and effectively communicating financial insights to clients.

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 40 hours/week

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct MD&A Analysis including Downstream Supplemental

  • Perform Income Analysis (Operating Cost and Capital)

  • Conduct Quarterly Reporting Segment Review

  • Provide external reporting support for Planning, Downstream management team, and refining consolidation

  • Assist with annual external reporting and board package support

  • Review AIF

  • Analyze Gross Margin and market capture

  • Communicate and coordinate with site teams and corporate support functions to maintain standardization and governance

  • Build and maintain dashboards using platforms such as SharePoint and Power BI

  • Validate and support reporting

Requirements and Qualifications: 
Must Have:

  • Degree in Finance, Commerce, or Economics

  • 5 years of experience in a related role

  • Ability to conduct deep analysis, digitalize reports, and create and develop repeatable and standardized business processes

  • 10-20% travel is required

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications

  • Proficiency in SAP and Business Warehouse

  • Ability to digitalize data using platforms such as SharePoint and Power BI

  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of refinery operations, marketing, or trading

  • Strong analytical skills in modeling and financial analysis

  • Ability to lead through influence

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to enable agility

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada

Nice to have:

  • CPA and/or MBA

  • Experience in refining

  • Understanding of downstream operations and manufacturing

  • Experience in digitalization
