In this role you will be responsible for providing critical financial insights, support decision-making processes, and drive financial performance across our client’s organization.

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Shift: Mon – Fri, 8 hrs./day (4 days in office, 1 day work from home)

  • MD&A Analysis including Downstream Supplemental

  • Gross Margin and market capture analysis Communication and coordination with the site teams and corporate support functions to maintain standardization and governance.

  • Build and maintain dashboards in various platforms such as SharePoint and Power BI.

  • Reporting validation and support


  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • Degree in Finance, commerce, or Economics

  • Ability to conduct deep analysis, digitalize reports, creating and developing repeatable
    and standardized business processes.

  • Travel required (10-20%)

  • 10 years of experience

  • CPA and/or MBA

  • Refining experience is preferred.

  • Understanding of Downstream operations and manufacturing

  • Digitalization experience is considered an asset

  • Strong analytical skills in modelling and financial analysis

  • Strong ability to lead through influence.

  • Strong communication skills (Written and Verbal)

  • Ability to foster and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Enables agility.

  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications

  • Proficient use of SAP and Business Warehouse

  • Ability to digitalize data using platforms such as SharePoint and Power BI

  • Strong Financial Acumen

  • Strong understanding of refinery operations, marketing or trading.
