Adecco is currently hiring for a Financial Planning Manager to service a major global distributor of electrical and electronic products for their Eastern Operation. To be considered for the Financial Planning Manager role you must have minimum 10 years' progressive experience in financial services and experience in retail, grocery or distribution is strongly preferred. The Financial Planning Manager is being hired for a 6-month contract, with a possibility of conversion to a permanent role. It will be paying $41.00/hour and will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Financial Planning Manager Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the VP Finance, lead the budgeting, forecasting and analysis functions for a sizable subsidiary operation
  • Conduct various financial modelling projects on operational short-term and long-term strategic planning initiatives
  • Responsible for Financial Planning cycle developed for both operating and capital budgets
  • Collaborate with Business Partners to ensure budgeting, forecasting and modelling incorporates the latest business drivers
  • Develop close working relationships with HQ and Regional business leaders while learning their business and providing financial insights that will help them lead their respective areas
  • Pursue continuous improvement in business processes for FP&A
  • Develop and refine tools for variance analysis against budget and forecast to identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop various performance KPIs and dashboard, analyze and provide commentary to communicate to stakeholders of business
  • Complete monthly, quarterly reporting and analysis packages
  • Assist in and work on special projects of finance team and national-wise strategic initiatives
  • Perform monthly balance reconciliation and CAPEX spending analysis as required
  • Create and maintain departmental policies and procedures manual
  • Financial Planning Manager Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years’ progressive experience in the finance industry
  • Experience in retail, grocery or distribution is strongly preferred.
  • Leadership skills are required for this role; experienced in managing teams
  • Business-oriented, with key skills of forecasting, analysis, reconciliation
  • CPA is highly preferred, but equivalent working experiences will be considered
  • Must be able to rapidly adapt to change and deliver under minimal supervision
  • Extensive experience in Excel financial modelling and major ERP experience
  • Team collaboration and excellent communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal skills, and relationship-building skills
  • Hands on, detail-oriented, analytical, organized and strong multi-tasking skills under time pressure
