Adecco is currently recruiting for a Fire Service Technician Assistant for a contract with our Private Client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance.
The Fire Service Technician Assistant will have the following responsibilities:
-    Perform inspections, repairs and maintenance of fire alarm systems & complete necessary reporting documents
-    Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm systems
-    Assist in the testing, commission and inspecting fire alarm systems as per CAN/ULC regulations
-    Complete fire extinguisher and emergency lighting inspections as per regulations
-    Ensure all work and subsequent reports are completed properly and in a timely fashion
-    Maintain various emergency systems
-    Conduct service vehicle inspections to validate proper maintenance
The Fire Service Technician Assistant must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-    2- 3 years’ experience in the electronics field
-    1- 2 years of experience servicing fire alarm systems
-    Strong organizational and communications skills in English (written & oral)
-    Excellent customer service skills
-    Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner
-    Valid Driver’s License
-    Must be able to obtain a clear criminal background check
-    Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or working towards certification
-    EST3 Certification (asset)
-    PWGSC/Government Clearance
