Adecco is urgently hiring for a temporary, full-time Food Promotion Associate to work at a well-known distribution company that provides procurement and distribution to member co-operatives in Western Canada. To qualify for this role, you must have a Business Marketing degree, great attention to detail, a stellar attendance record, and a minimum of 2 years of retail/wholesale experience.   • Pay rate: $19.58 - $26.77/hour based on experience
  • Location: Saskatoon, SK
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday / 8:00 AM– 4:30 PM
  • Job type: Full-time / 3 Months – 89 days

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the layout for the weekly print grocery flyer, edit multiple print and in-store promotions, as well as provide support through data entry and preparing promotion files, and invoices
  • Assist in executing the template layout for the weekly print grocery flyer by plotting items provided by Category Management Teams
  • Proof and edit multiple drafts of print and in-store promotions per week ensuring all timelines are strictly adhered to and all flyer guidelines are met
  • Communicate to retails of any promotional information including price, item changes, etc. of all in-store and inside flyer pages
  • Complete data check by preparing an excel spreadsheet to complete a cross-analysis of keyed items against marketing extract to ensure promotional accuracy. This will also include correcting promotional accuracy errors when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with team, retails, and other departments
  • Key promote pricing on a weekly deadline, as outlined in the Food Marketing Extracts and Fresh Input for weekly CPPs, grand openings/food booklets, price drop, and Solutions booklets, ¾ Day Sales and any other advertised and in-store features
  • Prepare retail debits, credits, and supplier claims
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Grade 12 diploma and a one-year business/marketing certificate are a must
  • Additional business/marketing diploma/degree is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the retail/wholesale industry is needed
  • Excellent Knowledge of MS Excel is crucial for success in this role
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with daily deadlines and within a team environment
  • General knowledge and interest in the food industry and grocery
  • Great attention to detail and a strong belief in collaboration, building relationships and valuing the perspectives of others.
  • Honest, trustworthy and results-oriented
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
