Adecco is currently hiring a Forklift Operator for a 1-year contract to work full-time hours for our client in Ajax, ON.  In this role, you will operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.

  • Pay rate: $24.78/hour - Union Dues $18 per pay.
  • Location: Ajax, ON
  • Availability Required: Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • Job type: 1-year contract

    • Responsibilities:

  • Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
  • Checking loads are secure.
  • Stacking empty pallets.
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
  • Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Dumping materials into machine hoppers

    • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Must be able to provide a background check,
  • 0-2 years’ experience on Forklift,
  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to provide references
  • Basic Inventory release and receipt skills and understanding of cycle count principles.
  • Experience with data entry is required.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs on a regular basis.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal a must
  • The ability to work shifts when required
