Our client, a mattress manufacturer in Woodbridge, is looking for Counter Balance Forklift Operators to become a part of their team. The hours are 4pm -12:30am , Monday - Friday. Pay rate $18.60/hr


Counter Balance Forklift Operator Job Description Summary;

Reporting to the Department Manager, the primary job function is to perform material handling duties with a forklift, and general labour duties to ensure a continuous production flow within the department.  Works in a normal production environment with exposure to temperature changes and safety hazards associated with general labour work.  


Counter Balance Forklift Operator Major Duties & Responsibilities;

1.    Safely operate a clamp/fork truck
2.    Material handling of foam blocks from plant areas to department lines
3.    Operate baler and bale trim
4.    Ensure quality control specifications are met
5.    Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
6.    Other duties as requested by management

Counter Balance Forklift Operator Minimum Qualifications & Skills;

1.    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2.    Ability to drive a Counter Balance forklift/clamp truck or ability to obtain license
3.    Able to interpret and work with numbers and measurements
4.    Able to lift between 20 – 40 lbs. comfortably
5.    General understanding of PPE and use
6.    Adaptable and flexible for any change of daily tasks
7.    Communicates effectively with employee inquiries or comments
8.    Strong organizational and time management skills considered an asset
9.    Ability to work under minimal to no supervision
