Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Fuel Driver in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to work at a well-established company majoring in the production and export of oil, gasoline and natural gas. In this role, you will be responsible for driving safely and efficiently fuel transport trucks and delivering products to residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have an active class 1, class 2 or class 3 driver’s license with airbrakes and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in professional driving.
Pay rate: $20-$25 / Hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive Fuel Transport Trucks (single axle, dual axle, and bobtail) safely and efficiently, adhering to all Department of Transportation regulations and procedures to deliver products to residential and commercial customers
Meet or exceed Driver Performance targets on Speed Management, Product Handling Incidents, etc.
Review and plan daily routes, safely load the truck with required products and maintain a strong working relationship with the dispatch team to constructively adjust and manage a plan to build efficiencies into route and delivery order
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is performing to required standards and identify opportunities to handle minor mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate processes and paperwork to ensure proper workflow and billing information are met. Manage Bill of Sales, Declining Balance, Tickets, etc.
Follow all loading and off-loading procedures & processes at terminals and customer sites
Demonstrate familiarity with current customers and services to ensure flawless customer servicing, achieve customer satisfaction scores and seek opportunities to gain new customers
Ensure and maintain a safe working environment according to safety policies and procedures including Transportation of Dangerous Goods and report all hazards, unsafe situations, required repairs, and incidents
Support team, business, and brand by taking additional workflow when available, remaining current on company information, and maintaining high personal and truck appearance standards
Prepare truck at end of the day for truck partner
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
An active class 1, class 2, or class 3 driver’s license with airbrakes
Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
Previous experience with liquid loads is considered an asset
Basic mathematical skills are necessary
Attention to detail and strong customer service skills are a must
Strong safety focus is mandatory
Comfortable with performing jobs that require physical strength
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
