Our client, an industry leader in providing chemicals and equipment utilized in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment since 1996 supplies products and technical knowledge to their clients on how and where these products are used to maximize plant efficiency.   This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person to join their team working in their successful entrepreneurial culture.

Reporting to the Office Manager, the full-cycle bookkeeper performs financial duties on the day-to-day operations overseeing the following.

  • Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer, vendor records and collections.
  • Accounts Payable including purchase orders and vendor records maintenance, accuracy of vendor statements and handling discrepancies.
  • Bank reconciliations for depository accounts (Canadian and United States).
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed.
  • General ledger maintenance, sales analysis reporting.
  • Prepare payroll in Ceridian, hourly and salaried employees, non-union.
  • Preparing trial balances and confirming for accuracy.
  • Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes
  • Assistance with the annual budget and audit process.
  • Prepare and/or review of all employee and freight expense reports
  • Prepare month end and year end processes to be sent to an external accountant for review.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Requirements

  • A Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or relative experience
  • Must have 4 + years of hands on experience
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented partnered with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment.
  • Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority.
  •  Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • QB/ Sage experience, Ceridian, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
