We are looking for numerous General Laborer to work as Damage Prevention Technician in the Edmonton area for Oakville Enterprises Corporation (OEC).

The pay rate for this position starts at $17-$21/h plus benefits.

    Requirements to get hired as a Damage Prevention Technician:

  • Possess a valid driver license and an excellent driving record 
  • Basic Personal Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office; 
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise good judgment; 
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills 
  • Be physically able to walk in ditches, on uneven surfaces, use a shovel and to lift up to 9kg (20lbs.).
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment with time-sensitive deliverables 

    The responsibilities of the Damage Prevention Technician are:

  • Operate various electronic devices including the use of a receiver wand and transmitter designed to assist in the locating and verifying of underground utilities including gas, phone and fibre optic cables;
  • Identify the utility, mark the area and create drawings of the located area and services; 
  • Mark utility lines using spray paint or coloured flags; 
  • Prepares various reports and documentation verifying marked utilities;
