Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary full-time General Labourer to work on an on-going basis at a new warehouse facility. Get your foot in the door with our client, who values growth for its employees and has a friendly working environment.

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Performs pre-shift inspection of packaging machine and logs details of production into manual.
  • Organizes packaging area by setting up and adjusting packaging machines preparatory to operation for the specifics of each run.
  • Observes machine to verify specified processing conditions are met and adjusts process variables such as speed rates and temperature settings
  • Maintains work order log of production and other data.
  • Checks products for defects and ensures conformance to company standards and performs corrective machine adjustments if necessary
  • Records production information such as quantity, weight, size, date code and types of products packaged.
  • Assist in managing flow of product from production into packaging machines.
  • Communicates any recommendations or discrepancies related to operations or personnel to Plant Manager
  • Assist with packaging on candies off various line into cartons and cartons onto pallets
  • Assist with clean up and return of packaging material and lines at end of shift as required
  • Assist with general clean up after each shift including packaging equipment.
  • Works safely and follows legislated and established safe work procedures and practices.
  • Other Duties as assigned in adherence to the GMP policies
  • To qualify, you should:

  • Previous experience as a warehouse or general labour will be considered an asset
  • Able to lift, carry and maneuver material or equipment (up to 30 lbs)
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, consistently bending, and being able to pull carts
  • Proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
  • Attendance must be in good standing
  • Comfortable communicating with a wide range of team members
