Adecco is currently looking for a General Labour - Furniture Assembler to assist our client located in the West end of Ottawa, with moving and installing all types of office furniture. This is a temporary full-time 3 month contract that is starting at the beginning of January 2020. To be considered for this position, you must be a detail-oriented, mechanically-inclined individual who is physically able to lift up to 50lbs consistently throughout the shift. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the unique handling requirements of office furniture.  The position is from Monday to Friday 830am to 5pm and the rate of pay is $16.50/hr + 4% vacation pay.

General Labour - Furniture Assembler Job Responsibilities

• Relocate office furniture, electronics, stock, office equipment or other materials from one section of the building to the new office space,  heavy lifting required
• Assemble and install office systems furniture
• Follow direction of, and report to, site supervisor
• Maintaining a clean work environment
• effectively handle power and hand tools
• load and unload trucks with supplies, product and equipment

General Labour - Furniture Assembler Job Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude
•  Previous office furniture installation experience is an asset
•  High School Diploma or equivalent
• Possess good English communication skills 
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs continuously throughout shift
• Great attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision 
• Ability to pass a Background Check
