Our client, a leader in the commercial/residential building/construction supplies distribution industry is currently seeking to hire an experienced Distribution Sales Manager in Burnaby, BC.

The Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for implementing sales plans, supervising sales staff and also selling products. The Sales Manager is also responsible for growing a customer while maintaining the existing accounts by selling to current customers.

Distribution Sales Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
Completes sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintains sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort and completes other duties as required or assigned.

Distribution Sales Manager Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: Lumber, or building supplies distribution experience
Post Secondary Education, Diploma or Degree in Business or related field preferred
5+ years successful sales and sales operations leadership experience in a customer service and/or related field
Wholesale distribution experience an asset
Knowledge of customer business needs
Good computer skills in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Budget management and resource allocation experience
Strong team player with a ‘’can-do’’ attitude and passion for excellence
Exceptional communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills
Strong coaching skills, ability to win trust and respect from team
Reliable, confidential, and conscientious

Distribution Sales Manager Compensation:

80K-110K plus bonus – 3 weeks paid vacation, full benefits, company vehicle/car allowance.
