Adecco is currently recruiting for a contract GIS Technician in Regina, SK to assist one of their top clients. To be considered for this GIS Technician role you must have at least one year of formal education in GIS (GIS certificate minimum) and 0 - 2 years of experience.

  • Inputting, updating and maintaining corporate GIS data products (Imagery, Basemaps, Assets).
  • Performing GIS spatial analysis
  • Performing GIS data quality control, including reviewing data for completeness and accuracy; identifying and correcting errors or omissions in the data
  • Supporting the input of new pipeline construction asbuilt data into the Geographical Information System (GIS)
  • Participating in initiatives were legacy data is converted into the GIS system
  • Catalog and inventory GIS data, including metadata creation
  • Creating map layouts and views, and generating maps and reports
  • Support the many processes for providing project work to external GIS consultants, including: locating background project data, documenting work assignment, packaging projects, responding to additional data requests, performing quality control on deliverables
  • Supporting GIS work requirements resulting from ongoing corporate GIS initiatives (i.e.: Web GIS, GIS infrastructure upgrades etc.)
  • At least one year of formal GIS education (minimum GIS certificate)
  • 0 - 2 years of experience
  • Experience with following software would be beneficial:
    • MS Office
    • Project Server
    • SharePoint
    • ESRI GIS
