Our client, an established and growing technology firm and is looking to add some new, passionate and hardworking Technical Support Representative members to its team in the GTA. This is a hardworking, interested, engaged and positive team and the fit within is also key to the success of one's candidacy. The working hours for this Technical Support Representative job opening would be shifts between the hours of 8am and 8pm while remaining during just Monday through Friday. The corporate office is in Vaughan, Ontario and offers free parking but this can be a full work from home opportunity if you prefer; you just must be able to travel to the office/GTA area a few times a year for meetings/events. The company offers an annualized salary between $55-60K plus benefits that kick in after the probationary period, bonus potential, paid vacation and a relaxed yet dynamic work environment!

Some of the duties of the full-time, permanent Technical Support Representative job opening may include but not be limited to:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls and web/email inquiries from our clients in an efficient and professional manner; remote access support is also a part of this
  • Provide information on product and service offerings while making suggestions based on their individual business needs
  • Listen patiently and ask engaging questions in order to prioritize the calls and strive for positive outcomes, transferring and escalating calls when necessary
  • Document all calls in a CRM system as well as update information such as addresses, additions/removals, new customer sales, etc.; this includes using an internal ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot questions and concerns from basic technical issues to making payments to more complex concerns and ensure the customer is being provided high level service
  • Liaise with internal departments and with the customer (via email and phone) to ensure timelines and acceptance of services is at the forefront
  • Additional responsibilities and internal team support when required
  • Some of the required skills and experience for the Technical Support Representative job opening includes, but is not limited to:

  • At least 2 years of Customer Service – preference from help desk, technical support or at least call center with some educational background in computer science/technology
  • Exceptional English communication skills; spoken and written
  • Helping simplify technical language/terminology into straight forward terms
  • Ability to think on your feet and with an enthusiastic and positive approach
  • Dynamic drive to have successful calls on a consistent basis; this includes being highly organized with strong follow through and follow up focus; customer centric
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook skills combined with knowledge and understanding of PC operating systems
