Adecco is currently recruiting for an HR Generalist. This is a full-time permanent role to work with one of our clients located in Ottawa. The successful candidates must have a valid reliability security clearance or be eligible for it.
The HR Generalist will have the following responsibilities:
-    Ensuring compliance with all benefit related laws;
-    Ensuring all regulatory reports are prepared and filed;
-    Working closely with others employee consultants, assisting in the development of specifications for new plans;
-    Recommending changes to existing plans to ensure cost effectiveness, competitive positioning in labor market and consistent benefit coverage;
-    Interfacing with external providers and oversee resolution of discrepancies with carriers, employees, payroll and the company; 
-    Overseeing the annual renewal process for the United Kingdom, Singapore and Brazil;
-    Participating as required in the Canadian benefit renewal process;
-    Maintaining and disseminating benefit related materials;
-    Participating in best practices surveys, analyze results and develop recommendations;
-    Managing the annual open Enrollment exercise in the United States;
-    Ensuring all annual fillings;
-    Overseeing and leading all of benefits administration work including enrollments, terminations, invoice payments and benefit queries.
The HR Generalist must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-    University degree in a related field;
-    5-7 years minimum of experience in Human Resources field;
-    2-3 years minimum of experience as Human Resources Generalist;
-    Previous exposure to maintaining benefits plans; 
-    Proficiency using MS Office and HRMS;
-    Must have perfect communication skills (written and oral);
-    Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
-    Must be able to work a flexible work week (Included overtime when required);
-    Must have perfect organizational skills;
-    Ability to take initiative;
-    Ability to work with deadlines;
-    Ability to work under pressure; 
-    Good understanding of global human resources practices and laws, benefits and payroll framework, health and welfare programs.
