HR Generalist

Adecco Professional is currently partnering with a dynamic, established yet growing North American manufacturing client who is looking to hire for an Human Resources Generalist / HR Generalist job opening in Vaughan, ON.

This full-time, permanent career opportunity is best suited for a driven, hands-on HR professional with at least 3-5 years direct HR Generalist experience to bring to the table alongside experience from a unionized setting. This individual is the main/sole HR professional in this location but also works closely with the North American HR team.  The Human Resources Generalist / HR Generalist is responsible for all the HR related functions of the site and will provide variety and challenge while allowing the individual to bring in new strategic ideas. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, with a keen eye for improvement in a team-oriented, collaborative and employee centric company.  Please note that this position include employee relations and being the HR contact for Canada and therefore requires working on-site; mainly general office hours but flexibility to come in alternate times when unrolling new policies/training etc.

 

Some of the responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist / HR Generalist job opening in Vaughan, ON may include but are not limited to:

 

·        Taking lead on recruitment requirements; ensuring interaction and communication with the hiring manager at all times; this includes consulting on market rates, trends and candidate experience

·        Employee relations from all HR related angles and ensuring staff understand any new/updated policies and procedures clearly

·        Work with the benefit plan and compensation structure to ensure we are keeping competitive and any related responsibility

·        Assist employees with HR related questions such as benefits, employee relations, internal applications, employee service and more

·        Take lead on various HR initiatives and project within the organization bringing new and fresh ideas to the table

·        Strategic planning and sharing/presenting to leadership team ideas, concerns, updated legislation etc.

·        Ensure all Provincial and Federal employment legislation and compliance is adhered to and communicated

·        Additional duties as necessary

 

Some of the key requirements to be considered for the Human Resources Generalist / HR Generalist job opening in Vaughan, ON may include but are not limited to:

 

·        At least 3-5 years’ experience in an HR Generalist capacity; strong asset to those who come from manufacturing industry

·        Completed post-secondary education; completed or pursuing your CRHA an asset

·        Unionized experience required; can be smaller or large scale

·        Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English; Punjabi language skills an asset

·        Driven, hard-working, flexible – you have a very hands-on approach to get the job done

·        Someone who takes initiative and is passionate about the role the department plays in a successful manufacturing firm in North America
