Human Resources Associate

Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Human Resources Associate for our client, a well-established company majoring in the steel industry located in Richmond Hill, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for working autonomously, by coordinating and organizing employment and benefits in addition to developing a good rapport and coordinating with various employment agencies and sites throughout Ontario.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment related activities, job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, reference checks and contract preparation
  • Act as a liaison between staffing agencies and Shop Production Management
  • Participate in onboarding new hires, delivering HR material, completion of paperwork, conducting orientations
  • Track, manage and compile production bonuses
  • Provide support for benefits related inquiries
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee questions, inquiries, and policy interpretations to ensure fair and equitable application of policy and procedure
  • Monitor and administer the attendance program including tracking absences, preparing corrective action documentation and filing
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of solid experience in HR operations preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information
  • Strong oral and written communication sills
  • Self-starter, forward thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Strong efficiency in computer skills (MS Office)
  • Ability to work both independently, and collaboratively as part of a team is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external contacts is required
