In this role, you will be responsible for independently leading HR processes and partnering with leadership and other stakeholders to fully resolve any conflicts related to business processes and demands.

  • Duties and Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:

  • Carry out policies and procedures, understand and follow all laws pertaining to Human Resources
  • Maintain, administer, and coordinate HR programs
  • Perform independent HR studies, analyses, and interpretations to draw sound conclusions and recommendations
  • Design and develop new and improved Human Resources methods and procedures through internal partnerships
  • Provide support of employee and labor relations issues under close guidance of more experienced staff
  • Conduct thorough investigations of employment matters including recommended follow up
  • Coach and mentor managers on the proper ways to navigate employment issues
  • Challenge and lead the business and internal HR processes in a credible and constructive way
  • Administer and coordinate HR policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the delivery of base HR services and support the HR leadership agenda
  • Continuous improvement oriented and bring forward recommendations
  • Assist with the recruiting process, coordinate, and handle on-boarding
  • Requirements and Qualifications of the HR Business Partner:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Human Resource Business Partner in a corporate work environment
  • Degree in a related field, ideally in Human Resources
  • Ability to build strong formal and informal relationships, and leverage those to develop solutions
  • Ability to deal constructively with problems that do not have defined solutions, maintain a calm and productive influence in times of uncertainty and act with a clear sense of ownership
  • Advanced knowledge of general Human Resources principles and ability to apply this knowledge, and demonstrate a solid understanding of HR program breadth: compensation, recruitment, labour relations, staff development
  • Must have full knowledge of applicable legislation and employment standards
  • Ability to build trust through a direct and truthful approach, and handle confidential information
  • Advanced skill level in MS Office and HRIS applications
