Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Human Resources Generalist in Port Moody, BC to work for our client, a leading company that majors in the manufacturing industry.   • Responsibilities:

  • Lead the new hire onboarding and orientation processes and act as the first contact for employees for HR related questions and general inquiries
  • Responsible for managing timekeeping system for the organization, which includes the review and corrections of timecards, setting up new user & managerial access, ensuring accuracy of data in timekeeping and payroll systems, and payroll processing
  • Completing payroll calculations which may include but is not limited to retro pay, unpaid leave for salaried employees, PTO payouts, etc.
  • Responsible for running monthly and ad-hoc reports, timekeeping and payroll and Updating employment, position and pay changes in HRIS
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements prior to final payroll submission and assist with completion and accuracy of all forms pertaining to payroll
  • Primary point of contact for helping employees to access their self-service functions in the HRIS, and manages self-service tasks – updating their personal contact info, tax withhold, banking details, benefits life event changes, etc.
  • Resetting password and troubleshooting logging/access issues and promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in implementation of human resource policies, gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics and maintain employee files and records in electronic form
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience with HRIS/HCM and payroll systems is required
  • Strong MS Office skills and data entry skills required
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal and planning/organizing skills
  • The individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
