REQUIREMENTS – Human Resources Manager

- 5+ years of Human Resource leadership experience, with well-rounded generalist abilities.
- Previous experience in a high-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment 
- Excellent employee relations and change management skills, with knowledge of all applicable legislation.
- Good understanding of industrial EHS regulations
- Flexible and adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES – Human Resources Manager

- Direct and manager the activities of the HR department for the facility.
- Develops and implements measures to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction, while reducing turnover.
- Represent management and participate actively on various joint committees to maintain positive ongoing relations between management and employees.
- Employee relations including coaching, mentoring, corrective counseling and investigations.
- Coaches and consults managers and employees through the performance management process.
- Champion Health and Safety program
- Develop and implement policies, programs and procedures in all areas of HR for the facility.
- Review and monitor performance evaluation.
- Establish and maintain department records, policies, procedures and reports.
- Annually review compensation plan to ensure internal and external equity.
- Administer all benefit plans for all employees.
- Recruit for all open positions both internally and externally to fill vacant positions to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate apprenticeship and training programs.
- Plan and organize employee functions as required.
