Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Human Resources Manager to work directly for our client located in Mississauga ON. In this role, you will be overseeing policies, procedures and maintains compliance relating to employees, ensuring they are in compliance with provincial and federal laws, and is the link between the organization’s management and its employees.  They are responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring new staff and supervising payroll. As well they implement and oversee programs related to employee benefits, vacation, sick leave, and payroll.  The HR Manager makes recommendations on potential policy changes to ensure the company offers a competitive package of salary and benefits to employees, as well as ensuring that the workplace is accommodating, promotes advancement, is fair and equitable and free of harassment. 

The ideal candidate must have experience working in the Transporatation, Logistics or Supply Chain industry.

  • Location: Hybrid Working Conditions – in office Mon & Tue mandatory
  • Salary: $100 K /annual (depending on experience)

  • Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement new strategies for continuous improvement in HR process
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions across Canada and ensures policies and procedures are in place for compliance
  • Creates and updates company policies and procedures ensuring documentation is current
  • Supports management in recruitment and selection process for all positions
  • Interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, and performance reviews using company proprietary HRIS – G-Talent+ and G-Campus
  • Develop and implement measures and programs to increase employee morale, motivation, and job satisfaction, while reducing turnover and increasing engagement
  • Advises management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues      
  • Assists management with navigation and completing the performance review program
  • Assists as needed for salary administration programs and pay change requests
  • Supports payroll activities such as answering questions, follow up on modification in salary, promotions, or any structural changes, using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Maintain and keep current HR Information Systems – G-Talent+ and G-Campus
  • Occasional travel
  • Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or Human Resources
  • CHRP designation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years HR leadership experience, preferably in the freight forwarding business
  • Must have ADP Workforce Now experience – back-up for Payroll and Benefits Administrator
  • Must have experience in Transportation, Logistics, supply chain
  • Must have strong knowledge of employment legislation and landscape across Canada – employees in QC, ON, AB, BC
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • ADP Workforce Now experience – back-up for Payroll and Benefits Administrator
  • G-Campus Management – Internal eLearn Training Platform (training provided)
  • G-Talent – Internal HRIS Platform (training provided)
  • Microsoft Office Software - Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint
  • French language proficiency is a differentiator
