Detailed Job Description: As an Industrial Millwright, your responsibilities will include:
- Reading manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures for equipment dismantling, evaluation, and repair.
- Installing bearings, aligning gears and shafts, attaching, and aligning motors, connecting couplings and belts, and conducting predictive and operational maintenance using specialized tools.
- Operating hoisting and lifting devices during equipment removal and re-installation.
- Inspecting and examining machinery to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, cleaning, lubricating, and conducting other maintenance work on machinery.
- Utilizing precision instruments for measuring and examining parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Creating work scope and repair recommendations based on inspections.
- Participating in the estimation process, determining man-hours for operational steps.
- Performing root cause failure analysis of equipment.
- Operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate parts required for maintenance or setup.
Candidate's Profile: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of workshop experience.
- Industrial Millwright Red Seal Certification.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, layouts, and drawings.
- Proficiency in making improvements or modifications to mechanical equipment using various tools and welding equipment.
- Experience operating power tools and forklifts (Reach and Counterbalance).
- Hold a valid Ontario Class G Driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet timelines consistently.
