Adecco is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Markham, ON. Our client supports customers and partners around the world with products, solutions and services in the industrial environment of power, signal and data. The Inside Sales Representative will be assisting the team as the company transitions and implements a new SAP operating system over the next year. This is a long-term temporary role with benefits offered through Adecco after the probation period is complete.

Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Strives to provide outstanding customer support by taking ownership of issues and consistently going the extra mile. Looks for the best resolution to customer issues using good judgement between the customer’s requirements and the Company’s interests, within the company objectives, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Answers incoming calls and emails in a professional, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Utilizes all information and the tools available to proactively assist customers with product availability, pricing and other inquiries.
  • Reviews, enters, and maintains customer orders and contacts customers if necessary.
  • Coordinates product expedite requests per customer request. Also reviews open order reports to expedite proactively on behalf of the customer. Communicates with the buyer/planners; coordinates all related order maintenance such as ship method, dates, communication back to customer, etc.
  • Initiates all necessary activity and/or communication within the company to resolve customer issues. Follows up on customer inquiries until resolved and communicates back to customers or the outside sales team.
  • Processes all return requests and helps coordinate credits and stock rotations.
  • Verifies and processes customer’s ship and debit rebates within the company’s process guidelines.
  • Supports Outside Sales and Sales Agents by managing quotations, fulfilling sample requests and responding to other inquiries.
  • Acts as backup for other team members within the Inside Sale Team as needed. Helps with all activities within the Order Fulfillment Cycle when needed including the warehouse.
  • Supports and contributes to ongoing improvement initiatives and projects. Looks for ways to improve departmental processes and system functionality.
  • Supports and helps achieve company goals.
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks within the team such as reception back up, master data maintenance etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Ensures thorough familiarity with and actively adheres to all Environmental and Safety and Security Policies and performs their duties in accordance with those policies.
  • Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9000, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures.

Inside Sales Representative Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Order Fulfillment Cycles, Supply Chain, and Distribution.
  • Detail oriented, proactive with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Service oriented with excellent communication (English - read, write and speak. French is an asset) with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to recognize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks with complete follow-through.
  • Flexible and adaptable to work well under pressure with deadlines and changing priorities.
  • A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
  • Enjoys dealing with and helping internal and external customers. High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • 2-4 years of previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous experience and proficiency with SAP system a must.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office applications.
  • Industry/product knowledge preferred.
