Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist instrumentation maintenance personnel and contractors in day-to-day operations activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in maintaining and troubleshooting site-specific instrumentation equipment to optimize operations, adhering to established standards, procedures, drawings, and codes.

  • Commit to the client’s policies, values, regulatory compliance, and the operational integrity program.

  • Support and mentor junior employees, accepting guidance and coaching.

  • Assist in instrumentation maintenance activities during turnarounds, commissioning, and start-up projects.

  • Complete instrumentation maintenance records (e.g., work permits, work notification closeouts) with accuracy and timely reporting.

  • Respond to emergency situations and incidents in compliance with the client’s Emergency Response Plan (ERP) through Incident Command System (ICS) and notify on and off-site.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Certification as an instrumentation journeyman or technologist equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in instrumentation fieldwork

  • Possession of a Class 5 driver’s license along with a serviceable truck

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
