Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Intermediate Mechanical Assembler for our client, a leading electronics manufacturing company located in Ottawa, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tests on assemblies or sub-assemblies.   • Pay rate: $15/hour base
  • Location: Ottawa, ON  
  • Shifts: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM | 4:00 PM-12:00 AM | 11:30 PM-7:30 AM
  • Shift premium: Evenings 10% and Weekends 15%

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Assembling components according to specific drawings and procedures and process
  • Operating various manufacturing equipment, fully certified, according to documented processes and defined schedules and loads
  • Using pneumatic tools and equipment as well as hand tools for assembly purposes
  • Identifying, articulating and escalating problems or issues for technical support or engineering
  • Assisting in gathering requested information and proof necessary to help establish the root cause of problems and determine corrective action
  • Using a variety of current software to properly execute required computer transactions, such as SFDC, Agile, and Excel
  • Executing properly on inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions
  • Ordering and ensuring any printed labels are correct and transacted to the correct planned order on tracker
  • Identifying and applying ECO modifications or other instructions
  • Performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures and performance standards
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
  • Supporting other company requirements when necessary and providing support to the Manufacturing Team Lead
  • Qualifications:

  • General education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training
  • 1-2 years of work experience in the related field
  • Must have strong communication skills – reading, written & verbal
  • Must pay close attention to details in all areas of work and have strong analytical skills
  • Ability to demonstrate extended knowledge of computer applications and software
  • Must possess good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Must have good work ethic and housekeeping skills
